Traditional ware and freeform pottery were to prove to be the building blocks of success for the Poole Pottery factory, as it went from strength to strength during the fifties and sixties. The traditional ware pieces are somehow timeless and feature elaborate and stunning designs (e.g. Poole Pottery Vase below) by Poole Pottery artists, such as Truda Carter and Ruth Pavely, while the subtler but equally stunning freeform designs of the fifties, again largely the product of Ruth Pavely's design skills, really evoke a feeling of fifties nostalgia.
